QUAMÉ A. HAMLIN

Quamé Hamlin is a creative director and filmmaker. He is a Cine Qua Non fellow, PAGE Awards finalist, and SHOWTIME Tony Cox Screenplay Competition finalist. His work has been recognized internationally, has screened at multiple Academy Award-qualifying festivals, and was recently featured in the Emmy® winning app, Scriptation.
With a Master of Fine Arts from American University and a Bachelor of Science from Norfolk State University, Quamé has worked with a number of revered organizations and Fortune 500 companies over the course of his career.
His latest film, Recovery Chain, premiered at HBO’s Urbanworld and was selected as a finalist for the HBO Short Film Award at the American Black Film Festival. His upcoming films, Threats and Elbow Grease, are slated for 2025 festival releases and currently, Quamé is in the process of developing the screenplay for his feature film, Park Kidz.
Quamé’s work, filled with familial themes and varied Black experiences, often highlights America’s underrepresented groups and interrogates cultural identity.
